Matt,

Well I thought about the subject and here's what I am interested in seeing:

Beginning java sessions - the Lansing linux group has a beginners instructional meeting every fourth time they meet.  Might be a way to interest a lot of new people

Advanced SQL - Assuming everyone is using SQL in their projects as a given how about some advanced stuff?

Derby/Cloudscape - Java database that IBM open source that has developed a following in the CF world and on Slashdot as well

Java libraries -  How about an intro to some of the open source stuff that is currently available.  Being a ColdFusion developer I am interested in libraries I might write CF wrappers around.

OO Patterns - Most of the advanced ColdFusion developers I know are modeling their development efforts around java patterns.  How about an introduction to patterns?  I could probably interest some CF'ers into attending a meeting on that topic.
