[GR-Jug] Planning Meeting

Hello everyone,

The planning meeting that Carlus is referring to never happened but I 
would like to propose that we start planning right now and continue the 
discussion at next weeks meeting.

Here are a couple of questions and things to ponder and post your 
comments to the list.

1) What Java related topics are you interested in knowing about or 
knowing more about?  If  there was a GR-Jug presentation on these would 
you attend?

2) What do you want to get out of the GR-JUG?

3) Would I be willing to research something and present at a GR-JUG 
meeting (I think of  it as scheduling time for discovery and learning)? 
(note: these can be presentations or step by step on how to do something 
like load and use a new plug in or tool or library or ....).

4) How can we make the GR-JUG better?

Now let me switch hats to a JUG member and give you my answers to these 
questions.

1) There are many topics I want to know more about including Hibernate, 
the Spring framework, JSP are just a few.

2) What I hope to get out of the GR-JUG is to meet people and share 
knowledge and expand my own knowledge.

3) I like presenting at the JUG it forces me to set aside time to learn 
something new and explaining it to the group makes sure I understand it.

4)  I think the JUG will be better if more people are interested and 
want to participate.

PLEASE, share your thoughts with the group. 

Also at our next meeting (next Thursday [2/17] at 6:30 at Calvin College 
I would  encourage you to bring information on new Java related things 
and questions. 

Looking forward to hearing from all of you and hopefully seeing or 
meeting you at an upcoming meeting.
